–PhD, The Ohio State University, Literature from Spain. (Earning this degree involved heavy doses of crafting essays and analyzing literature in both English and Spanish.)

–Over 20 years of teaching at the college level for the following institutions, both online and in person: The Ohio State University, The University of Dayton, Urbana University (Urbana, Ohio), and Clark State Community College (Springfield, Ohio). Ten years of experience teaching English composition at the college level as an Associate Professor of English and Spanish.

–Specialized tutoring training in writing for students of various ages and levels in diverse fields, including the following subjects: nursing, business, technology, education, psychology, and the humanities.

–Up-to-date training/knowledge in plagiarism/documentation for MLA and APA styles.

–Presenter at national conferences including the Modern Languages Association and the National Council of Teachers of English.

–Member of the National Council of Teachers of English.

–Inaugural Editor for the international publication: Telecollaboration and Virtual Exchange Journal for Unicollaboration.

–Served as a selected reviewer for college-level writing handbooks/readers from the following publishers: Bedford St. Martin’s, McGraw-Hill, W. W. Norton, and Cengage.

–Academic publications have appeared in English and Spanish in peer-reviewed books/journals.

–Currently write and publish short stories of fiction, which have been selected for publication in literary magazines, both online and in print.

–Continue to write on a regular basis—including humorous pieces on my WordPress blog titled, “Fixin’ Leaks and Leeks.”
